1958 Citroen 2CV
ID# 111246
Used as a daily driver, this Citroen 2CV was imported from France in 2005. This original 1958 restored ripple hood 2CV, is in outstanding physical and driving condition. Multiple parts including a windshield, doors, drive train and more.

Citroen's 1958 2CV (deux chevaux, or two horsepower). Introduced at the 1948 Paris Motor Show, it was constructed of very thin steel, had an air-cooled twin-cylinder engine of 375cc and 9hp, and was intended for mass appeal.

Inboard front brakes and four-wheel independent suspension, with longitudinal coil springs and inertial dampers by each wheel rounded out the mechanicals. Inside, the seats were deckchairs and the gearshift stuck out of the dash like an umbrella handle. The curious design continued throughout, as the canvas sunroof on early cars extended all the way to the back bumper and the wiper was driven off the speedometer cable (the only instrument).

All West Coast vehicles that do not have wood as part of their manufacture (eg pickup truck with wooden bed or old vehicle with wood interior) and qualify for our pre-cleaning certification are guaranteed to pass Australia Quarantine upon entry. If they do not pass there will be NO additional cleaning costs charged to you.

The above price includes NATA Approved Asbestos Testing on all West Coast vehicles. If they test positive for asbestos only in the brakes, there will be an A$400 fee for the removal, installation of new brake pads and reinspection. The A$400 fee does not include the cost for the new brake pads. If asbestos is found elsewhere we will consult with you what options you have to move forward.

We are working on a similar solution for the East Coast vehicles.
